COMPREHENSIVE MUSIC LESSONS NOW OFFERED FOR PIANO, VOICE, AND JAZZ IMPROVISATION FOR ALL INSTRUMENTS!
I have been very fortunate to have had two patient and generous music teachers in my life with whom I studied privately.
My primary teacher, Sal Mosca, was my greatest inspiration and guide in my music education and in my living the life of a musician.
My teaching method is my own, but strongly influenced by my years with Sal Mosca, from 1969 to 1985.

I believe that my teaching allows for the the development of the individual at their own pace.
Lessons are structured, progressive and classical in nature: Scales, Chords, Music Reading, Time, Technique, Theory, Composition, Ear Training, are all presented to the student slowly and patiently; nothing is overlooked or left out, and a strong foundation is set to grow on.
Students are encouraged to listen to the all of the greatest musicians throughout the history of music, both Classical and Jazz.
Professional recording is provided so that students can maintain annual, digital recordings of their progress.
Beginners, professional musicians and music teachers have taken lessons at my home studio located in Dutchess County, Tivoli, New York.
Piano lessons are for all ages, Classical, Contemporary and Jazz.
Jazz improvisation is offered to students of all instruments and voice. Piano, Voice and Drum students are welcome as beginners; for all other instruments, the student must have one or two years of study as prerequisite to lessons in Jazz Improvisation.
Initial consultations are without charge in a relaxed, informal setting. All are welcome.
